You claim DuraLast is “virtually maintenance-free.”

What does this mean?

DuraLast is designed to be more durable than both paint and vinyl.  It won’t chip, peel, flake, or chalk and is resistant to fading.  Your home will practically take care of itself!

We do recommend rinsing your home or business with a garden hose approximately every 6 months to clean off the dust which naturally accumulates on buildings and provides a place for mildew to grow.  As an alternative, you could give your home a mild pressure washing every 1.5 to 2 years to remove accumulated dust.

Can DuraLast be used on Historic Homes?

Yes.  DuraLast provides a wonderful finish to historic homes that will preserve the exterior, as well as maintain an authentic finish and make your home a beautiful historic treasure.  Read more about the benefits of having PaintNoMore coat your historic home here.

DuraLast is available in nearly 2,000 standard colors.

What type of warranty will my business receive?

Businesses receive a 25-year commercial warranty.

Can DuraLast be applied to my roof or deck?

No.  It is not a good idea to apply DuraLast to a roof or deck because it is too slippery.

Is DuraLast harmful to the environment?

No, DuraLast is a water-based product and exceeds all EPA standards.

Does DuraLast contain vinyl?

No.  Vinyl is a petrochemical product and is not water soluble.  As a result, it is not possible to put a liquid form of vinyl in a water-based coating product like DuraLast.

Do It Once, and Be Done!

DuraLast is tougher and more durable than vinyl siding.  It is fade-resistant and unlikely to crack or be damaged during storms.  On the other hand, vinyl siding begins to fade after approximately 8 years.  If you need to replace a piece of damaged (or blown off) siding, it likely won’t match the rest of your building because vinyl has a high fade rate and your style or brand may no longer be made.

Unlike vinyl, DuraLast is not used as a “cover-up.”  Our crews fix the problems of your home or business before we seal it with DuraLast.  This includes:

pressure washing the surface with a degreaser and a mildewcide to clean the surface and remove any loose, peeling paint

replacing or repairing all bad wood and surfaces

scraping and sanding to remove any additional loose paint

replacing any deteriorating caulk with a very high-quality sealant

If you have a problem with water damage or wood rot, that problem will still be there when you have any new siding put on your building.  Even worse, you won’t be able to see it because it will now be hidden.  By the time you’re aware of the extent of the damage, it’s usually pretty severe and expensive to repair.

Other benefits of DuraLast over vinyl include:

being tightly fastened to your building, which will help seal out insects and rodents

covering most paintable surfaces, so you won’t need additional work done

giving your home a freshly-painted look instead of a “plastic” appearance, which can actually hurt your home’s value

offers about 100 to 200 times the number of colors you can choose from; vinyl siding generally is available in only 10 to 20 colors; DuraLast has nearly 2,000 colors

DuraLast outperforms vinyl siding, enhancing your home or business’ appearance and value, while virtually eliminating maintenance requirements.
